Artist Statement
The paint was inspired by a trip to Europe in 2012. I was looking at photos taken when I was at a church. In the photo, I captured tourists wearing flip flop, inappropriate clothes and eating pizza outside the church, despite the sign says proper clothe required and no food allowed. Inside the church, there was a mass going on and tourists are still talking and laugh loud with their camera flashing all over the place. I feel terrible for people who don’t pay respect to religion, it is totally a chaos created in such a holy place and they look like demons came from Hell.
