One Strange World

Imagine your first time traveling to a new country. Or the time when you went to your new school and met new people. Everything is strange and you are overwhelmed with fear, anxiety, and unsettled feeling. “One Strange World” was one of those emotions when I first came to Toronto, Canada. Throughout this conceptual illustration series, I want to express my discomfort mixed with excitement when I went to the city, visited the subway, and joined in a holiday event at that time.

In my opinion, changes are inevitable. There will be challenges waiting for me ahead. However, I believe that walking out of my comfort zone will give me more opportunity to grow up. That is why “One Strange World” is a milestone in my journey to become a professional artist.

I hope this series will also remind you that everyone has their own uncertain chapters in their life. By embracing the unknown with your belief and fueling your action with dreams, you will always find the beauty in this one strange world.
