Artist Statement
Oliver Chen is an illustrator, graphic designer born in 1995, Taipei, Taiwan. He moved to Canada in 2012 and studied fine art at Sheridan College, graduated in 2018, and continue his training at Seneca College for illustration.
Oliver works both traditionally in marker, colour pencil, ink, watercolour and spray, as well as digitally. He is inspired by daily life and relationships between friends, lovers, even family. He combines sci-fi, fashion, sk8 culture and beautiful females in his Impact Illustrations.
For Me, art is a lifestyle, a way to record life as a diary, a film or even a song you love to sing when you are happy. I wish to bring happiness to the audiences and remind them what’s the important in life
