In the new era of technology it has become so easy to connect with the people around the world. But back in earlier days, it felt so magical to receive a post card from your friends or relatives that live far away. Just a few words written on the back of a card brightened the whole day.

I chose the postcard format for my project to be able to get back that feeling of something magical – a time when it wasn’t just a message on your phone that you may not even remember after a few hours. A postcard was something that we used to keep for years to remind us of those days.

My project is about the Christmas holiday. Personally for me, it was always the best holiday in the year when the whole family is together. The baby on the cards represents ourselves during the holiday. Even after growing up, we still act like little kids when it comes to Christmas. The dog represents our family and friends who bring happiness and warmth and sometimes a little craziness to our life.

Also, remembering myself as a kid, it always reminds me of certain moments in this holiday; the early morning when you wake up and run to the Christmas tree to see what is there; the moment when you unwrap the holiday gifts; playing around; and finally falling asleep with a new toy in your hands.
