…OVER…

Seeing my friends and classmates regress into a spiraling cycle of drug abuse, and self destruction for the sake of momentary bliss. I wish to deliver the moments I see, and stories I hear. From where I’ve grown up and the people I know, use of recreational drugs starts in highschool, something commonly used as group bonding activities and an escape from troubled homes and academic worries. I am not against the use of drugs, but where I wish to distinguish a boundary is when it’s a dire necessity to study, work, sleep, or even breathe. From my experience dealing with life’s torment in such a manner only furthers the suffering of the ones you love the most, inevitably destroying your own mind and body. I hope viewers may understand some of my concerns through the symbolic imagery of each piece, and see this topic from a loved one’s point of view.
