Time Bomb!
Mixed media on wood panels

I create art to tell current, personal, and honest stories with a bit of irony and humor. In a sense it is a catalyst that I hope will inspire or generate some reflection in any who sees it. I seek to express myself visually, with gestures and movement of strokes, dynamism, and with attractive textures and reliefs that give an experience beyond what is simply seen.

In this series of four illustrations inspired by toxic productivity in the workplace, I want to recreate funny metaphors that come to light in critical moments of stress that I have experienced throughout my life. Each one is related to burnout.

These illustrations are accompanied by a question that seeks that people interact with my work, that through their cell phone, they can see the answer and learn more about my work.

To open the AR filter, you need to scan the Qr Code behind each illustration and place your cellphone in front of the illustration.
This series is called Time bomb, since it is something that can explode at any moment and I feel that in our fast-paced, efficiency-seeking society, the attention and care that should be given to mental health is being traded for productivity and competition.

This relates to my children’s book “The Perfect Circle” which is an analogy to discovering perfection by making mistakes and asking others for help.
