Artist Statement
Jaysen’s work leads us into worlds of strange creatures, new places, and ongoing stories. He uses
an array of traditional and digital media to create soft scenes evoking sadness and cheer. This
balance comes with gentle and considered brush strokes and a deep understanding of story.
Jaysen is an illustrator from Ontario, Canada. His path could still go many places, but he
currently works to visual development for animation and games, creating stories to help people
understand who they and the world around them.
